Where does modern-day slavery exist?  What allows one person to "own" and control another?  How do we recognize it and, more importantly, how do we stop it?

Salons at Stowe topics reflect the contemporary shape of issues that concerned Harriet Beecher Stowe.  During Salons, an "Inspiration to Action" agenda is created listing specific actions that can be taken to address the issue at hand. 

Audience participation is a must.  Come prepared for lively discussion.

Arrive at the Stowe Center's Katharine Day House at 5 PM for introductions and refreshments.  The Salon begins promptly at 5:30 and concludes by 7 PM.
