Despite the heat, the Harriet Beecher Stowe Collections Preservation project moves forward.
Here's what is happening this week:
The project, designated and funded as a “We the People” project by the National Endowment for the Humanities, is also supported by funding from the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving; a Save America’s Treasures award from the National Park Service; and United Technologies Corporation. The “We the People” designation recognizes the project as critical to the study, teaching and understanding of American history and culture.
Architectural, engineering and project services are provided by the internationally recognized firm, Watson & Henry Associates of Bridgeton, NJ. Bartlett Brainard Eacott of Bloomfield, CT is the contractor.
